The State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mrs. Kudirat Ibrahim made this known through the command’s Public Enlightenment Officer, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi in a statement issued in Osogbo. The sector commander who hinted that the accident occurred due to road traffic violation and overspeeding added that two other persons were severely injured in the accident which was recorded around 3.00 a.m of the day. Mrs Ibrahim explained that there was a collision between two vehicles which involved 23 persons.

One killed as bus rams into truck in Anambra state

By Lucy Osuizigbo-Okechukwu Awka, Dec. 22, 2020 A midde-aged man has been confirmed dead in an accident involving three vehicles along Nnewi-Nnobi road, Nnewi, Anambra State. Mr Andrew Kumapayi, the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra, confirmed the incident to newsmen in Awka on Tuesday. He said the accident occurred at about noon. Kumapayi said that the crash was as a result of overloading of an articulated vehicle. He said that a total of six male adults were involved in the accident while one of them died in the crash. “The crash involved a trailer without a registration number, a tanker without a registration number and a bus with registration number AA904JJT.
