Following recent promotion of senior officers of Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), the Corps Marshal, Dr. Boboye Oyeyemi, has approved redeployment of deputy corps marshals, assistant corps marshals, corps commanders, deputy corps commanders and intermediate ranks.
The redeployment takes immediate effect. A statement by FRSC spokesman, Bisi Kazeem, described the redeployment as a routine exercise intended to bolster the system for better performance and efficiency.
Among the officers affected in the exercise are Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) H.Z. The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has announced a massive shake-up involving the redeployment of its senior officers.
The FRSC spokesperson, Bisi Kazeem, said this in a statement late on Wednesday.
“Pursuant to the recent approval of the promotion of senior officers by the Federal Road Safety Commission and the need to strategically reposition the officers for optimal performance, the Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Boboye Oyeyemi, has approved the redeployment of officers, in the capacity of Deputy Corps Marshals, Assistant Corps Marshals, Corps Commanders, Deputy Corps Commanders and intermediate ranks, who are all expected to report to their new commands with immediate effect,” Mr Kazeem said.

THE Federal Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, has commenced moves to create a database for imported vehicles with a view to checkmating import duty evasion and theft.
Speaking at the just concluded training programme hosted by the Nigeria Custom Service, NCS, Nnamdi Nwajiuba, Business Analyst, Fourcore Technology Solutions Limited, consultant to the Federal Ministry of Finance on Vehicle Registry, VREG, said that the policy will provide lasting solutions to the menaces of Customs duty evasion, vehicle theft and vehicle-related crimes, as well as ineffective vehicle insurance coverage, among others, owing to the absence of a centralized nationwide vehicle information system.

The fire, which was said to have started in the early hours of Tuesday, affected the court’s Archives, Library and Security Post.
A security guard was said to have sustained injuries while trying to escape.
The court is located along the Enugu/Abakaliki Highway, opposite the state Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) state office. The court shares a fence with the state headquarters of Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) and Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC).
A source told THISDAY that the hoodlums shot sporadically into the air before throwing fire bombs into the building.
