Two dead, five injured in Ogun auto crash - Daily Post Nigeria

Daily Post Nigeria Published The Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE) says two persons died and five others injured when a truck and a tricycle were involved in an accident at Ifo on Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. Mrs Ebunoluwa Akinkumi, Area Commander of TRACE in Ewekoro-Ifo, who made this known in a statement to newsmen said the accident occurred on Wednesday at about 9.05am NAN reports. Akinkumi said the truck was marked EPE514 XW while the tricycle had JBD 482QJ. She said the corpses of the victims had been deposited at the Ifo General Hospital morgue while the survivors are also receiving treatment at the hospital.

Gunmen attack Emir of Birnin Gwari on Abuja-Kaduna expressway Published Suspected bandits have attacked the Emir of Birnin Gwari in Kaduna State, Alhaji Zubairu Jibril Maigwari, while travelling along Kaduna-Abuja expressway. As at the time filing this report, it is not clear the number of casualties from the incident, though a number of persons were said to have been injured. The bandits are said to have shot at the Emir’s convoy on Tuesday, destroying his vehicles with bullets. The report explained that he (Emir) was on his way to Kaduna from Abuja when the incident happened. The Emir is said to be one of the top traditional rulers who held a virtual meeting with the State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, only last week when the recurring crisis of banditry ravaging the state was discussed.

Danger as truck breaks down on Osogbo road, FRSC promises action
