The White House says President Joe Biden is setting a new vaccination goal to deliver at least one dose to 70 percent of adult Americans by July 4.
LOS ANGELES - CVS pharmacies are now accepting walk-ins for COVID-19 vaccines nationwide with no appointment necessary, the company announced Wednesday.
According to a spokesperson with CVS Health, the new policy will include same-day requests and appointments as soon as one hour from the time of scheduling. NEW YORK CVS Health will now accept walk-in COVID-19 appointments at its locations across the country, including 517 in New York.
The pharmacy announced Wednesday appointments will no longer be necessary. Same-day scheduling, including appointments as soon as one hour from time of scheduling, will now be available online.
As of Wednesday, CVS Health is able to vaccinate in more than 8,300 stores across 49 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C., and has surpassed 17 million COVID-19 vaccine doses administered through its participation in the Pharmacy Partnership for Long-Term Care Program and Federal Retail Pharmacy Program, according to officials.

Walmart and Samâs Club have announced a new COVID-19 vaccine milestone: immunizations are now available to customers and associates in all of their more than 5,100 pharmacy locations nationwide, across 49 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C.
This includes the 137 Walmart and Samâs Club pharmacies in Louisiana.
The retail giants released a list of expansions and programs aimed at increasing the availability of the vaccine to Americans and encouraging widespread participation, including walk-up shots as supply allows.

All of the 5,100 Walmart and Sam’s Club pharmacies across the country are now offering COVID-19 vaccines to customers, the company announced Tuesday.
This includes all 587 pharmacy locations in the state of Texas.
Vaccines are being administered via both walk-up and scheduled appointments at walmart.com/COVIDvaccine and samsclub.com/covid.
Additionally, the company is rolling out new programs to both encourage people to get a vaccine and continue efforts to increase access across the country as part of their Get Out The Vaccine campaign to encourage more people to get vaccinated.
