Govt to Administer Pfizer Vaccine to Select People Only The federal government has decided to administer Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine to Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and overseas Pakistani students and workers on a priority basis. While addressing the media, Federal Planning Minister, Asad Umar, said the decision has been taken to facilitate Hajj and Umrah pilgrims and overseas students and workers in countries that do not recognize vaccination certificates of Chinese COVID-19 vaccines. NCOC is Shutting Down Vaccination Centers Temporarily National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has decided to keep the COVID-19 vaccination centers closed on the first two days of Eid-ul-Fitr. On the other hand, Sindh’s health department has already notified the closure of vaccination centers for three days starting from 13 May. ALSO READ In another development, NCOC has decided to extend the walk-in COVID-19 vaccination facility to citizens aged 40 years or above from 12 May. According to the Federal Planning Minister, Asad Umar, who also heads the NCOC, citizens can go to their nearest vaccination centers after registering at 1166 to receive the Coronavirus vaccine.
