You know that old proverb: You can t have your cake and eat it too ?
If there ever was a statement that seemed lacking in logic, it was that. Ok, I get the concept. It represents two mutually exclusive choices.
But really, what s the point of having the cake if you aren t going to eat it? You can always let it go stale and rancid. Then you can have your cake and you really can t eat it.
Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has been accused failing to rein in bad behaviour in his own ranks.
Backbencher Nicolle Flint says she s been driven out of politics by a sustained campaign of abuse and harassment by GetUp, Labor and union supporters, and criticised Albanese and female Labor MPs for not speaking up to defend her at the time.
But the Opposition Leader says that he and other senior MPs will always condemn bad behaviour towards anyone in any campaign .
