PKR s Setiawangsa MP Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad said he is one of five opposition MPs to have received an RM10 million letter of demand from the Yayasan Wilayah Persekutuan (YWP) over a press conference held by the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) which detailed a conflict of interest within its management.
He said the letter of demand concerned the findings of the PAC report which was presented at a press conference held in Parliament on Nov 18, 2020, in response to the Report of the Approximate Committee titled ′′Land Sales of Kuala Lumpur City Hall, Federal Territories Ministry. .

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 6 Kuala Lumpur MPs have told Federal Territories Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa today to respond to their queries on the formation of the Federal Territories consultation committee (JaKoWIP).
In a joint statement, the nine MPs said they have yet to receive a response from the minister on the council that would replace the minister’s council formed by the Pakatan Harapan administration, despite having sent a letter on December 7.

LABUAN: Having endured the pain inflicted by Covid-19 in 2020, Labuan’s economy is on a bumpy road to recovery in 2021, according to Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS) senior lecturer Dr Romzi Ationg.
He said the duty-free island, a federal territory like Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur, has taken a beating on the economic front as Covid-19 has “rubbed salt into an open wound” in 2020.
Potholes and broken roads have been a long-standing problem in the country.
On Sunday (Dec 27) Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin hit a pothole and crashed during a cycling trip in Banting.
On Sunday, Khairy tweeted a picture of his bruised face with minor scratches, saying that he had a fall after hitting a pothole while cycling around Kampung Seri Cheeding in Banting, Selangor. Pothole, ditch, KJ. 2020 keeps giving, he tweeted.
The Kuala Langat Works Department issued an apology about five hours later. The Kuala Langat district Works Department apologises for the incident affecting YB minister and we will take immediate action and we pray for his speedy recovery, tweeted the department.

PUTRAJAYA, Dec 24 The Federal Territories Ministry will develop 10,000 affordable housing units for youth at a price of RM200,000 per unit under the ‘Residensi Prihatin’ programme, said Minister Tan Sri Annuar Musa.
He said that this was the first round of the programme, where 1,000 units will be built in Labuan, 3,000 units in Putrajaya, and 6,000 units in Kuala Lumpur.
“Construction work is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2021 and will be completed in 24 months if using the modular technology method or 36 months using conventional methods, he said.
