India’s daily covid deaths jump to 1206; recovery rate increases to 97.20%

New Delhi, July 10: India reported 42,766 fresh coronavirus cases, according to the data released by Union Health Ministry on Saturday, taking the toll to 3,07,95,716. The weekly positivity rate remains below 5%, currently at 2.34% whereas the daily positivity rate is at 2.19% which is less than 3% for 19 consecutive days.
As many as 1,206 Covid patients succumb to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours that takes the cumulative number of deaths to 4,07,145.
A total of 45,254 patients recovered in the same time span, taking the number of recoveries to 2,99,33,538. The recovery rate increases to 97.20%.

Agitating farmers on Saturday held blockades at several points on the 135-km-long Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Expressway, which connects five districts of Haryana, in response to a call from farmer unions to protest against the farm laws. The protests led to traffic snarls and diversions at many points.
JEE Mains 2021: February session result to be out by March 7 on jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Students who appeared for the February session of the Joint Entrance Examination Mains (JEE-Mains) are waiting for their result.
Now, as per the latest update, the result of the February session JEE-Mains is expected soon.
As per the examination calendar issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA), the result is likely to be announced by March 7.
This year the Joint Entrance Exam (Main) will be conducted in four sessions in February, March, April and May. While the first session was held in between February 23 to 26, the next sessions of the exam will take place between March 15-18, April 27-30 and May 24-28.
