Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear has announced updates to Kentucky’s mask mandate following new information provided by the CDC.
Beshear announced that fully-vaccinated individuals will not be required to wear a mask in most settings, excluding settings such as hospitals, prisons, and long term care facilities.
Beshear also noted that the mask mandate is to lift for all individuals on June 11th, giving those 12 and up the opportunity to get vaccinated before those changes are made. He encouraged those who have not gotten vaccinated to do so.
Beshear announced that all events indoor and outdoor will be able to increase capacity to 75% on May 28th, regardless of their max limit. Previously only those events under 1,000 patrons would be able to increase to 75%.
