FRANKFORT, Ky. (KFVS) - Governor Andy Beshear gave a State of the Commonwealth address on Thursday, January 7.
The governor rescheduled the address following riots at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday.

Governor Beshear reported nearly 5,000 new cases of COVID-19 in Kentucky on Thursday, the second-highest daily report.
He said Wednesday was the highest-ever, and the state’s highest positivity rate since May 5.

FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX19) - Kentucky officials announced the next groups to receive doses of COVID-19 vaccines will be those aged 70 years and older, first responders and K-12 school personnel.
Gov. Andy Beshear and Department of Public Health Commissioner Steven Stack, MD, revealed the so-called Phase 1b groups in Kentucky’s Monday COVID-19 briefing.
Phase 1a is underway with long-term care facility staff and residents and healthcare personnel in clinical settings. Also included are Kentuckians who work in environmental services, front-line operations, interpretation services, dental care and home-based health care staff. FRANKFORT, Ky. (KFVS) - Governor Andy Beshear held a briefing on Kentucky’s response to COVID-19 at 3 p.m. on Monday, December 28.

Gov. Andy Beshear and Dr. Steven Stack, commissioner of the Kentucky Department for Public Health, said the next priority group (Phase 1b) for vaccination will be Kentuckians who are at least 70 years old, as well as first responders and educators.
Depending on the vaccine distribution schedule, Phase 1b could begin as early as Feb. 1, 2021, plus or minus a week.
While OCH originally anticipated receiving the vaccinations next week, Robinson said they came early.
âThe original date that we were informed of by the Kentucky Department of Public Health was Dec. 28. We did receive notice a few days ago that there was a chance they would arrive this week,â she said. âItâs an early Christmas present for Ohio County Healthcare.â
OCH received 250 doses of the Moderna vaccine, which Robinson said should cover the vaccinations of all direct patient contact employees.
The round will be split in half to accommodate the first round of vaccinations in addition to the booster round.
