(Seguin) – The Texas Lutheran women’s basketball team opened its home schedule with a pair of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference losses to Trinity last week, 78-52 on Friday and 69-56 on Saturday.
Trinity opened a 43-21 lead by the half on Friday, and the Bulldogs never threatened in the second half.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the game was the first home contest for any TLU sport since March 14, 2020 when TLU hosted a softball doubleheader with Trinity. The TLU basketball teams opened their seasons two weeks ago with road games at Centenary College (La.).
THIS season’s Women’s League Cup final will take place at Vicarage Road.
The contest at the home of Watford’s men’s team is scheduled for Sunday, March 14, with the kick-off time still to be confirmed.
The semi-finals are set to take place next Wednesday as holders and Women’s Super League leaders Chelsea play West Ham at Kingsmeadow and Bristol City host Championship table-toppers Leicester, kicking off at 5pm and 7.30pm respectively.

The 2020/21 FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup Final will be hosted by Watford FC at Vicarage Road Stadium on Sunday 14 March.
The tenth final in the competition’s history will be broadcast live on BT Sport 1 with the kick-off time to be announced in due course.
Kelly Simmons, FA director of the women’s professional game, said: “Watford are a club known for being at the heart of their community and we are really looking forward to working with their staff to put on a memorable match.
