Being hospitalized is hard enough, but with a pandemic keeping families from visiting patients, many can start to feel lonely. To help bring a little normalcy, frontline health care workers at a Memphis holiday came up with a way to spread some Christmas cheer to their COVID-19 patients. Sarah Dixon, thought of making small gifts for their patients, who they save have become likely family. With the holidays approaching, many are sad they can t see their families, so Fiveash believes the gifts could serve as a pick me up.

Being home for the holidays is not possible for many COVID-19 patients, that’s why Baptist Memorial Memphis workers wanted to bring their patients who have become like family some joy.

MEMPHIS, Tennessee Before and during the pandemic, nurses provide love and care every day for their patients. With Christmas approaching, ICU nurses took it upon themselves to ensure their patients feel the spirit and love of the holidays, even in the ICU.
Gift bags are piling up ready to be delivered to ICU patients at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis for patients that will be stuck in the hospital for the holidays.
