Memphis Hospital Brings Christmas Cheer To COVID Patients

By Sarah Tate Dec 16, 2020 Being hospitalized is hard enough, but with a pandemic keeping families from visiting patients, many can start to feel lonely. To help bring a little normalcy, frontline health care workers at a Memphis holiday came up with a way to spread some Christmas cheer to their COVID-19 patients. For a long time we were just like, scratching our heads about what we can do to help make the unimaginable a little brighter, said Kelsey Fiveash, a registered nurse at Baptist Memorial Memphis. Eventually a group including Fiveash and nurses London Marias and Sarah Dixon, thought of making small gifts for their patients, who they save have become likely family. With the holidays approaching, many are sad they can t see their families, so Fiveash believes the gifts could serve as a pick me up.
