Republican candidate for California Governor Major Williams slammed Governor Gavin Newsom for continuing to lock down the state on Wednesday, claiming that his actions are a result of poor leadership and mismanagement.
During an appearance on Fox and Friends, Williams asserted that the failure of small businesses, the continuing lockdown of schools as well as the rise of homelessness and crime are due to Newsom’s coronavirus response. [Newsom] said he’s going by the science but he really isn’t, Williams told Steve Doocy. It’s hurtful to all Californians.

(CN) Two different polls out of California Tuesday paint different pictures of Californian’s approval of Governor Gavin Newsom and his management of the coronavirus pandemic.
One poll found more residents disapproved the Newsom than approved, while the other found his approval among adults and likely voters held steady if not increased incrementally since December last year.

A U.C. Berkeley Institute of Government Studies poll from September 2019 revealed that over half of California’s voters, across all income and ethnic demographics, have now considered leaving. According to the poll, 46% of those considering moving were older conservatives deeply concerned over the state’s increasingly progressive political culture, and 71% of those moving were concerned about the high cost of housing.
U.S. Census Bureau numbers show that the middle-and-lower classes are leaving California at an even higher rate than the wealthy. Architecture plans for the green park esplanade at the center of the city of Carrolltonâs premier project, the forthcoming Trinity Mills Station urban development, were presented to City Council at Tuesdayâs meeting.
The schematic designs reveal the landscape vision for the open-air park which will serve as the social center to the new development, a lawn for casual enjoyment, and a special event area for concerts and public markets. The new esplanade design will offer a walkable community area, seamlessly connecting shopping, dining, entertainment, living, and working.
âThe esplanade is the second monumental milestone of the project,â Carrollton Urban Development Director Ravi Shah said. âThe first milestone was the approval in April for a 125,000-square foot, six-story class A office structure to serve as the marquee building within the new development.â
