Anyone who attended BWS and/or Woolworths in the Berala shopping centre on Sunday, December 20, between 12:30pm - 2pm is advised to get tested immediately and self-isolate until a negative result is received. A number of transport routes, including buses, trains and light rail, on which confirmed COVID-19 cases have travelled, have also been added to the alert list.

Dr Chant said 2000 people had already been contacted in relation to the location and that more would follow. As many as 1000 customers visited the bottle shop on Christmas Eve alone.
It is compulsory to wear a mask in a number of settings including shopping centres, public transport, entertainment venues such as a cinema, places of worship, hair and beauty salons and gaming areas of establishments. Staff at hospitality venues will also have to wear a mask.
Acting NSW Police Commissioner Mal Lanyon said the community had largely done the right thing. To be honest we haven t had to enforce a significant number of offences because of the way the community have worked with us. There is a $200 fine for an individual who fails to comply with the health order in terms of the wearing of a mask from midnight tonight, Mr Lanyon said.
NSW has reported seven new cases of COVID-19 and masks will soon be mandatory in Sydney shopping centres, on public transport and in entertainment venues.
