Bambu s, a Vietnamese-inspired beverage shop, has opened its first drive-thru in Denver at 2215 S. Broadway St., according to a company press release.
The star of the menu is Chè a coconut-based drink, layered with various combinations of homemade taro paste, beans, jellies, red tapioca, basil seeds and exotic fruits but customers may also order a number of other beverages, including Cà Phê Sữa Dá, a rich Mocha blended Vietnamese coffee with coffee jellies. Having a drive-thru for Chè is something that has never been done before, and we are thrilled to bring this innovative concept to the community of SoBo, Marc Geman, CEO of Bambu Franchising LLC, which owns the Denver Bambu.

Main Squeeze Juice Co., a New Orleans-based juice and smoothie bar whose ownership group includes New Orleans Saints punter Thomas Morstead, has opened a storefront with a production facility in Cypress, Texas. The dual-purpose venture is the first of its kind for Main Squeeze and is owned by the multi-unit franchisee duo of Marc Miller and Jeff and Tabitha Drost. We were excited to work with the Main Squeeze team on this new concept and to see it come together and be completed is an incredible feeling, Drost said in a company press release. Scooter s Coffee has inked an agreement to add more than two dozen units in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, market, according to a company press release.
The drive-thru coffee franchise is deepening its partnership with Jason and Rita Metcalf, owners of Metcalf Coffee Oklahoma Inc., who will purchase 13 Scooter s Coffee corporate stores in the OKC market and build 26 units in the area over the coming years. Jason and Rita have a deep well of operational knowledge with the Scooter s Coffee system and will be excellent partners in carrying the brand s banner in OKC, Tim Arpin, Scooter s Coffee VP of Franchise Sales, said in the release. There is a whole village of people internally who worked tirelessly with the Metcalfs to make this acquisition a reality for them, and they deserve a huge thank you.
How Caffe Nero won landlord-tenant lawsuit
Although Caffe Nero said it failed to pay rent for six months at one of its Boston locations, a judge dismissed the landlord s motion requesting payment.

After being forced to close a Boston location in April 2020 following COVID-19 restrictions, London-based Caffe Nero found itself in the middle of a dispute with its landlord for failure to pay rent.
The Italian-style coffeehouse, which didn t pay rent from April to October, eventually vacated the Newberry Street location in late October, according to a motion filed by its landlord,UMNV, requesting unpaid rent plus interest and administrative expenses. Although the motion didn t request a specific dollar amount, it demanded liquidated damages for the rest of the 15-year lease term, as well as attorneys fees and expenses, according to the motion filed with theSuffolk Superior Court in Boston.
