EDWARDSVILLE State Farm is suing one of its policy holders who was involved in a collision, rejecting an arbitration decision and alleging she was not legally entitled to receive compensatory damages from another driver s insurance company.
State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company filed a complaint Jan. 29 in the Madison County Circuit Court against Frances Jean Campbell.
According to the complaint, Campbell was involved in a vehicle crash on July 12, 2017, and filed a claim under her auto insurance policy held by State Farm. The policy includes bodily injury limits of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per collision. State Farm alleges that Campbell released all claims against the other driver involved in the collision and received a $25,000 payment from Geico General Insurance without State Farm agreeing to the amount of compensatory damages.
