May 27, 2001 - Helio Castroneves became the eighth rookie to win the Indianapolis 500, holding off his Penske Racing teammate, Gil de Ferran, by 1.7373 seconds for victory May 27 in the 85th edition of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Michael Andretti finished third, 5.7359 seconds behind Castroneves. The victory increased team owner Roger Penske's record total of Indianapolis 500 victories to 11. Penske's last win came in 1994 with Al Unser Jr. driving.
Kambi records 55% Q1 revenue increase as profit soars

Kambi has posted Q1 revenue of €43.2m (£37.6m/$52.2m) for 2021, representing a 55.1% increase on last year thanks to continued growth of the US market and a busy American sporting calendar.
The supplier said 87% of this revenue was generated from locally regulated markets, while operator turnover grew 122%.
The Americas proved to be the company’s most reliable revenue stream contributing just over 60% (€25.9m) of the total figure, while Europe pulled in just under 40% (€17.3m) of revenue in the first quarter of 2021.
2021 saw Kambi sign deals worldwide, ranging from a long term partnership with Racing and Wagering Western Australia, to an agreement with Casino Magic which saw the debut of a new sportsbook in Argentina, as well as an extended partnership with Napoleon Sports & Casino.

Kambi Group PLC signed a multi-year agreement with Argentinian operator Casino Magic. As part of the deal, Kambi agrees to provide its technology services to the leading Latin American company.
Another benefit for the Argentinian operator is that the Kambi partnership will support the launch of an online Casino Magic sportsbook in Neuquén province in Argentina. The country is currently in process of regulating sports betting on a province-by-province basis and in this climate, the new agreement with Kambi seems like a good fit.
According to Kristian Nylén, CEO of Kambi, the deal will strengthen its company’s network. He expressed his delight for having finalized the agreement with Casino Magic.
