Hickory Man Charged With Drug Offenses

40-year-old James Kelly Lynch of Section House Road in Hickory was arrested Wednesday (March 10) by Hickory Police Officers. He’s charged with felony possession of cocaine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Lynch is charged on a bill of indictment with felony possession of methamphetamine. He’s also charged with failure to appear on a count of simple possession of schedule VI controlled substance.
Lynch was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $71,000 bond. A Superior Court appearance was scheduled today (March 11) and a District Court date is March 22.

49-year-old Wilfred Greg Earls of Bowman Lowman Avenue in Hickory was arrested this morning (March 10) by Long View Police Officers. He’s charged with failure to appear on counts of second-degree burglary, larceny after breaking and entering, habitual felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Earls was placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $76,000 bond. A District Court appearance is scheduled for March 22, and a Superior Court date is April 12.

Newton Man Indicted On String Of Drug Charges

37-year-old Quantay Anthony Gaither of Mckay Road in Newton was arrested today (March 9) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged on bills of indictment with two counts of trafficking, opium or heroin, and single counts of maintain a vehicle, dwelling, or place for controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver methamphetamine and schedule II controlled substance, and possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine.
In addition to the charges on the indictments, Gaither is charged with failure to appear on a count of simple possession of schedule III controlled substance. Following the arrest, Gaither was confined in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $100,500 bond. A Superior Court appearance is scheduled for March 15, a District Court date is March 22.

40-year-old Randell Lee Heavner of Linberger Loop Road in Denver, N.C., was arrested Monday (March 8) by Catawba County Sheriff’s Officers. He’s charged with possession of methamphetamine and attempt to break or enter a motor vehicle. Heavner was jailed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under $10,000 bond. District Court appearances were scheduled today (March 9) and March 15.
