According to a official press release, in the past police officers who were responding to a mental health crisis call would be accompanied by EMS workers. The person involved would be asked some questions, and after an evaluation would be taken to a hospital for treatment. With this new partnership between police and GHS, the person(s) in crisis will now have the opportunity to speak with a trained professional virtually if he or she chooses to. How great is this?
Mental health in this country has certainly been a hot topic lately, and this is definitely a step in the right direction when it comes to diffusing highly intense situations. Flint condemns Richfield Court Apartments, says basements flooded with water and sewage

FLINT, MI The city and social service agencies are working to help relocate residents of Richfield Court Apartments after the city issued a condemnation notice for the complex Wednesday, Feb. 17.
The city said in a news release Wednesday that in addition to the notice of condemnation, the city has filed a motion for a preliminary restraining order in Genesee Circuit Court “in order to force owners to allow the city access to the property to ensure the safety and welfare of residents.”
