Kane County to raise rabies tag fees in 2022
Effective Jan. 1, 2022, all Kane County Animal Control rabies tag fees will be increasing.
The new tag fees will increase $2 for neutered animals less than 1 year of age, and $5 for non-neutered animals. Seniors (individuals 65 years or older with proof of age) will continue to receive free tags.
The Kane County Animal Control has notified county veterinarians of the fee increases so they can let their customers know well in advance.
Tags can be purchased through vet clinics and hospitals throughout Kane County or directly from Kane County Animal Control at 4060 Keslinger Road, Geneva, IL 60134, on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Kane County Animal Control will host its first Rabies and Microchip Animal Clinic of the year on Saturday, April 24.
The clinic will be conducted drive-thru style from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Kane County Animal Control, 4060 Keslinger Road in Geneva.
Dog and cat owners just pull up in their vehicle and let the staff and volunteers do the work. People do not need to get out of their cars, but are asked to please wear a mask so everyone remains safe and protected.
