LAHORE: All necessary steps have been taken to control fourth wave of corona, said Chief Minister Usman Buzdar while chairing the Provincial Apex Committee meeting at CM’s office here on.
LAHORE: The Punjab Apex Committee has decided to strictly implement the Covid-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) to protect people from the lethal third wave of the virus with exponentially high infectivity rate and related deaths in the province.
The 22 cities of the province showing more than eight percent infectivity rate would be under a strict watch for the SOPs’ implementation, it decided.
The Apex Committee meeting presided over by Chief Minister Usman Buzdar and attended by military high command, provincial ministers and civil officers at the chief minister’s secretariat on Wednesday constituted a cabinet committee to take stock of the coronavirus situation and order corrective measures on a daily basis.

RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Jawed Bajwa on Thursday said that people of Kashmir and the region deserved peace.
The COAS made these remarks while addressing the officers of Lahore Garrison, said an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release.
The army chief’s address focused on professional matters, internal and external security situation of the country, and his vision of an enduring peace in Pakistan and the region.
He apprised the officers of latest developments on eastern border, situation in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan’s firm commitment to a just resolution of Kashmir issue in line with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Gen Qamar Jawed Bajwa on Thursday said the people of Kashmir and this region deserve peace as he visited Lahore and addressed officers of Lahore Garrison, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
Gen Bajwa’s address focused on professional matters, internal and external security situation of the country and his vision of an enduring peace within Pakistan and the region, the statement added.
The Army chief also apprised the officers of the latest developments on the eastern border, the situation in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir and “our firm commitment for a just resolution of Kashmir issue in line with the aspirations of people of Kashmir”.
