One man was arrested and another is being sought in the Monday shooting of a woman at a Cumberland County motel, an official said Tuesday.
Rommie Tyrell Reed, 29, who also lived at the Coliseum Inn, was arrested Tuesday morning on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill, and conspiracy in the shooting of Miya Denise Watts, 26, according to a news release from the Cumberland County Sheriff s Office.
Police were called to the Coliseum Inn, 2507 Gillespie St., shortly after 4 p.m. Monday where they found Watts suffering from a gunshot wound, the release said. She was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Her condition was not released.
Photos were released of a man wanted for questioning in a shooting Monday at a Gillespie Street motel, according to a news release from the Cumberland County Sheriff s Office.
Miya Denise Watts, 26, was shot at least once while at the Coliseum Inn, 2507 Gillespie St. about 4 p.m., the release said.
Watts was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. Her condition was not released.
The photograph was collected by investigators from video at the scene, according to the release.
The Sheriff s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the man.
