The redevelopment of a vacant former elementary school located in the city’s north end got the green light from members of Cornwall’s Planning Hearing and Advisory Committee on Monday evening.

Students from three Catholic schools have been dismissed following confirmed COVID-19 cases at each location, the board said in a news release Tuesday.

Students from three Catholic schools have been dismissed following confirmed COVID-19 cases at each location, the board said in a news release Tuesday.
The dismissals follow a weekend where the board told at least 184 students and staff members to stay home after the long weekend following positive cases at seven of its schools.
WINDSOR, ONT. Students at three schools in the Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board have been dismissed after reports of confirmed cases of COVID-19 at each of them. Two classes were dismissed from St. John Vianney Catholic Elementary School after the board received confirmation of two cases, one class has been dismissed from St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School after one positive case and one class was dismissed from Catholic Central High School after confirmation of a positive case was received. The board learned of the confirmed cases Tuesday and informed the affected students they are not to return to school Wednesday.

The Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board has dismissed over 250 students after receiving notification of confirmed cases of COVID-19 at seven schools Sunday.
At. St. Peter Catholic Elementary School in Tecumseh, a class of 22 students was dismissed, as well as an additional 17 students who ride the bus
At St. Gabriel Catholic Elementary School, a class of 29 students has been dismissed
At St. Teresa of Calcutta Catholic Elementary school, a class of 26 students was dismissed
At Corpus Christi Catholic Middle School, a class of 19 students was dismissed
At St. Mary Catholic Elementary School in Maidstone, a class of 20 students was dismissed, as well as an additional 5 students who ride the bus
