A Cambridge man accused of sexual crimes against a then-juvenile girl in 2009 was sentenced to 10 years in prison Tuesday during a hearing in the Guernsey County Common Pleas Court.
Thomas G. Wilson, 50, was sentenced to consecutive five-year prison terms after entering negotiated guilty pleas to two counts of gross sexual imposition, third-degree felonies.
The court also informed Wilson of his duties to register as a sex offender or child victim offender, as required by Ohio law.
He was denied bond and remanded into the custody of the Guernsey County Jail to await transport to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections to begin serving his prison sentence.

A Cambridge man on the run for more than a year after failing to appear in court to face a felony drug charge was apprehended by Guernsey County sheriff s deputies Monday during a traffic stop in the city.
Ben Allen Harper, 45, was indicted by a Guernsey County grand jury on one count of aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, on Nov. 26, 2019.
A warrant for his arrest was issued on Jan. 7, 2020, after he failed to appear for an arraignment hearing in the Guernsey County Common Pleas Court.

A Cambridge man recently arrested by city police driving a stolen vehicle remained incarcerated in the Guernsey County Jail on a $20,000 bond.
Eian R. Fair, 19, is charged with one count of receiving stolen property, a fourth-degree felony. He plead not guilty to the charge during a hearing in the Cambridge Municipal Court.
The court declined to allow Fair to post 10% of the bond to be released from jail.
A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Feb. 8 in the municipal court.
The vehicle allegedly stolen by Fair had reportedly been left unattended outside a Wheeling Avenue store with the engine running. Fair was stopped on Dewey Avenue just minutes after the vehicle was taken.
