New Jersey woman dies after 1-car crash in the Poconos

A 22-year-old woman from Clifton, New Jersey, died after a one-car crash Wednesday in Mount Pocono, police report.
Pocono Mountain Regional officers were dispatched at 5:47 p.m. to Center Avenue in the Monroe County community where a 2001 Honda Civic was wrapped around a tree, police Chief Chris Wagner said Thursday in a news release.
An 18-year-old man, from Pocono Summit, and the woman were trapped in the car, Wagner said. When freed, the man was flown to Lehigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township and the woman was airlifted to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, where she was later pronounced dead, Wagner said.
