Alphons slams Pinarayi Vijayan, says field day for extremists and radicals in Kerala ANI | Updated: Dec 21, 2020 11:37 IST By Pragya Kaushika New Delhi [India], December 21 (ANI): Former Union Minister and BJP MP KJ Alphons on Monday slammed Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan for allegedly lending support to extremists and radicals in the state. He, however, agreed with Vijayan on Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) being overtaken by the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and said Congress is ready to do anything for a few votes. Alphons alleged that IUML is running the Congress-led coalition and blamed Vijayan as well for siding with extremist radicals .

Ravindran, who was to have appeared for a third time before the Enforcement Directorate here on Monday, has sought two more days time for it. In an email to the ED Kerala headquarters here on Monday, Ravindran said that since he has to undergo post Covid medical checkups, he needs two more days time before he can appear before the agency again.

Kerala reports 5,711 new COVID-19 cases, 30 deaths ANI | Updated: Dec 20, 2020 23:36 IST Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala) [India], December 20 (ANI): As many as 5,711 new COVID-19 cases and 30 deaths were reported in Kerala in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of active cases in the state to 61,604. As per an official statement, 4,471 patients were recovered today. With this, the total number of recoveries so far stands at 6,41,285. As many as 53,858 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours. The death toll due to the virus stands at 2,816. As two new hotspots were designated today and two were excluded, there are 458 hotspots in the state. Echoing Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Finance Minister Thomas Isaac had said that the COVID-19 vaccine, once cleared, will be available free of cost in the state.
