TDOT reports icy road conditions in Middle Tennessee as flurries continue Natalie Neysa Alund and Rachel Wegner, Nashville Tennessean
Although the wintry mix that slammed Middle Tennessee ended overnight, hazardous road conditions continued Tuesday, the National Weather Service in Nashville reported.
All counties across Middle Tennessee reported icy roads, or patches of ice and snow, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.
Into the evening, neighborhood streets throughout Nashville remained snow and ice covered and posed a risk to travel, the Metro Nashville Police Department reported. Main roads & interstates are passable, but still have snow & ice on them, the department tweeted. If travel is absolutely essential, please drive slowly & very carefully. Stay home if at all possible.
