BENTON HARBOR, Mich. â Today the Southwest Enforcement Team (SWET) alongside the Berrien County Tactical Response Unit (TRU) seized three pounds of marijuana, thirteen pounds of marijuana edibles, four firearms, and a stolen pistol which were all located and seized during a search warrant in Benton Harbor according to a Michigan State Police (MSP) press release.
One man, 27, was arrested for felon in possession of a firearm/ammunition. using a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a stolen firearm, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and maintaining a drug house.

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. â One pursuit is facing multiple criminal charges after an aggravated assault investigation led to a K-9 pursuit Sunday night.
Battle Creek police were assisting the Kalamazoo County Sheriffâs Office investigate the assault, which happened in Kalamazoo County, according to a news release Monday.
BCPD found the suspect in a stolen vehicle and chased him into Kalamazoo County.

Dredging on deck for Kalamazoo River oxbow filled with dam sludge

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, MI A hydropower company will begin dredging impoundment sludge from a Kalamazoo River side channel on Monday and says it’s planning to expand efforts to remove excessive sediment from a reservoir drawdown to other areas of the river.
Eagle Creek Renewable Energy says it will dredge a small oxbow section of river next to Comstock Township’s Wenke Park starting March 1. The side channel has been filled-in with sediment from Morrow Lake that was allowed to wash downriver last year during a reservoir drawdown.
