Kalamazoo neighborhoods to host National Night Out events Tuesday, August 3

The numbers rose to 4,876 cases in Cass County and 72 reported deaths.

Kalamazoo man injured in Florence Street shooting By Will Kriss Aug 2, 2021 | 8:12 PM KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Monday, the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety (KDPS) announced that a 28-year-old man was injured in an evening shooting. The incident occurred just after 6 p.m. Monday in the 500 block of Florence Street, located in Kalamazoo’s Northside neighborhood. Officers had been called to the area to investigate a report of gunshots. Police then learned that the victim had checked into Bronson Hospital with a gunshot injury. His injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. Currently, there is no suspect, according to police.
