Council refuses planning permission for a new church meeting hall in Ketton
A church community was refused planning permission to build a new meeting hall.
Trustees of The Cavendish Gospel Hall Trust wanted to open a new venue on land between Stamford Road and Steadfold Lane in Ketton.
The group is part of the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church and has a growing membership.
The site in Ketton
It already has meeting places in Stamford, Carlby, Toll Bar and Luffenham Road in Ketton but wanted to build a new centre for up to 50 new members.
Church members urged Rutland County Council s planning department to approve the plans because the current hall is too small.
