ALEXANDRIA – North Glengarry has filled its vacant management position in public works, hiring a director from south-central Ontario.
Tara Clayton will be joining the township on Tuesday, May 4, after working in a similar capacity in the Town of Orangeville.
CAO Sarah Huskinson says Clayton brings a lot of knowledge on bridges, roads, waterworks and waste management to the table.
North Glengarry Mayor Jamie MacDonald adds that her “community minded philosophies and inclusive leadership will be a great benefit to the township as a whole.”
Clayton takes over the vacant position after the municipality parted ways with its previous director, Douglas Sitland, in September. He had been hired in February 2020.
