Kiwanis Fourth of July back to pre-COVID level Tuesday, June 29, 2021 5:21 PM Fireworks
DELPHOS The Kiwanis have planned a two-day Fourth of July celebration to rival 2019, according to Chair Jamey Wisher.
“We have added a few events and all our bands are back from last year when we had to cancel the events on the tennis court,” Wisher said. “We are hoping the community comes out and supports us so we can continue to support our fellow community groups and events. Last year was chaos, so we’re hoping to make a good recovery this year.”
New this year are a Gun Raffle at 1 p.m. on July 3. Twenty guns will be raffled (see list on page 2-3B) and one lucky person will win a 9mm Sig Sauer 2022 with a custom holster. Gates open at 11:30 a.m., with a limit of 250 admitted. The raffle will be the only event on the tennis courts at the time. Tickets are $30 and include two drink tickets and lunch as well a chance to win the 9mm.

LIMA Fans of musical theater and Patsy Cline won’t want to miss a live performance at Encore Theatre this weekend.
“Always … Patsy Cline” is a musical play, mixing humor and emotion with 27 songs from Cline’s musical catalog. It tells the tale of a fan, Louise Seger, who befriended Cline and continued correspondence with her until her untimely death in a plane crash at the age of 30 in 1963.
Kristin Lee stars at Cline, and Amy Boley stars as Seger. The production is directed by Jerry Zimmerman, with Dee Fisher as musical director and keyboardist, Roger Rex as producer and Tanya Best on percussion.
