Norway’s Kongsberg Digital has signed a partnership agreement with MarineInsight by ioCurrents that will make three new software solutions available to its Vessel Insight subscribers.
According to the company, the solutions – vessel health, automated reports and fuel & emission optimization – will be added to an open and collaborative digital platform, the Kognifai Martketplace.

As noted, the solutions will assist in identifying engine failure through machine learning and artificial intelligence, create automated reports for all departments, and reduce fuel consumption based on proactive recommendations from automated data analysis.

Four more vessels operated by Norwegian RoRo shipping company Höegh Autoliners are set to benefit from a joint digital solution developed by marine systems provider Kongsberg and engine manufacturer MAN Energy Solutions.
The Horizon-class sister vessels will combine Kongsberg’s Vessel Insight and MAN Energy Solutions’ PrimeServ Assist and Vessel Performance, which will enable access to
“complete and contextualized high-quality data”.

Kongsberg Maritime (KM) has secured a contract to deliver comprehensive equipment packages for three Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express passenger vessels.
KM will execute this project in partnership with Norwegian shipyard Myklebust Verft.
The green solutions will enable Hurtigruten to reduce its carbon emissions along the coast of Norway by around 25%.

Höegh Autoliners onboard more vessels to Kongsberg Digital’s Vessel Insight, after successful project with MAN
Höegh Autoliners has elected to onboard four additional vessels to a joint digital solution combining KONGSBERG’s Vessel Insight and MAN Energy Solutions’ PrimeServ Assist. Following the signing of a digitalization partnership between Kongsberg Digital and MAN Energy Solutions in May 2020, the combined infrastructure was initially trialed by Höegh in a two-vessel pilot project which has now successfully completed.
