Store shelves display a bounty of mustards, but there are largely Heinz and Huntâs and a few organic types for ketchup. Bill Ahrens of Dover, N.H., a self-described âcondiment connoisseurâ with his wife, Trina, a chemist, set out to change this and upgrade ketchup. Originally, their purpose was to dress up hotdogs for the hotdog cart Bill once ran in downtown Dover after he retired from his work as a sales manager. The coupleâs homemade ketchup later inspired their line: Little Acre Three Pepper Ketchup â a condiment that crisscrosses ketchup, salsa, marinara, and cocktail sauce.
