Man, 28, arrested on charge of soliciting 14-year-old girl

Palm Coast resident Oleg Walker, 28, was extradited to Flagler County from St. Johns County April 28 on charges that he solicited a 14-year-old girl for sex.  The Flagler County Sheriff s Office began investigating after one of Walker s friends contacted law enforcement in October 2020 and reported that Walker was engaging in sexually explicit text conversations with an underage teen, according to an FCSO arrest report.  The friend said that he d been out at dinner at Outback Steakhouse with Walker and noticed that Walker was using his phone.

Palm Coast Man, 28, Accused of Soliciting Girl, 14, by Computer

Walker, a 28-year-old resident of 125 Wynnfield Drive in Palm Coast, was arrested on four felony counts of soliciting a child by computer and unlawfully using a two-way communication device. Walker is accused of carrying out a relationship by text with a 14-year-old girl over months until his phone was confiscated by police. Law enforcement was tipped off by a friend of Walker’s. Walker’s friend had reported to the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office that he and Walker had been out for dinner at Outback one evening when he’d asked Walker what he was doing on his phone. “You don;t want to know,” Walker told him, according to his arrest report. After a while, Walker said he was talking to “some girl” that he’d met on a gaming app three months earlier. His friend wanted to know the girl’s age. (Flagler County) Flagler County government Human Resources Director Pamela Wu has added a feather to her leadership cap, as earlier this month she graduated from the National Association of Counties (NACo) High Performance Leadership Academy. The program was designed by the Professional Development Academy in partnership with Fortune 1000 executives, public sector leaders, world-renowned academics, and thought leaders including General Colin Powell and Dr. Marshall Goldsmith, according to the National Association of Counties website. Its stated goal is to empower frontline county government professionals with practical, results-oriented leadership skills. “It is also designed specifically for the unique challenges and opportunities of serving in county government,” County Administrator Jerry Cameron said. “In addition to the webinars and small-group cohort sessions, Ms. Wu was required to complete assignments every day for twelve weeks.”
