Flagler woman arrested after toddler found wandering streets, deputies say 3-year-old was walking streets for about 1 hour Published:  Tags:  Tessie Clark (Image: FCSO) (WKMG 2021) FLAGLER COUNTY, Fla. – A Flagler County woman is accused of child neglect after a 3-year-old boy was found walking alone with a dog near a high-traffic intersection, according to the sheriff’s office. Deputies responded to Bellaire Drive and Beechwood Lane in Palm Beach Tuesday around 1:13 p.m. after a concerned citizen called 911 reporting a lone wandering toddler with a small dog. According to a news release from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, the 911 caller stood with the child until deputies arrived. The witness told deputies they saw the child walk “dangerously close” to a high-traffic area near Belle Terre Parkway and Bellaire Drive.

Woman in reported-stolen car shoots, injures herself at gas station as deputies approach

A woman in a car that had been reported stolen shot and injured herself at a RaceTrac gas station at in Palm Coast in the early morning hours of Feb. 15 as Flagler County Sheriff s Office deputies approached to apprehend her. Deputies found the car at the gas station at 301 Palm Coast Parkway NE, at the intersection of Palm Coast Parkway Northeast and Florida Park Drive, at about 2 a.m. on Feb. 15. It had been reported stolen in Volusia County. The woman shot herself before deputies reached the car, according to FCSO Public Affairs Manager Brittany Kershaw. The woman survived, and deputies started lifesaving measures on her. She was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in critical condition.

Woman Critical After Shooting Self During Traffic Stop

Feb 15, 2021 5:23 PM Palm Coast, FL - A woman is in critical condition after deputies say she attempted to take her own life during a traffic stop early Monday morning (February 15th). The Flagler County Sheriff s Office (FCSO) says deputies located a vehicle that was reported stolen out of Volusia County at a Palm Coast Race Trac gas station around 2:00 in the morning. According to a report from the Sheriff s Office, deputies approached the vehicle in an attempt to apprehend the driver—an unidentified female—during a traffic stop as the car sat in the parking lot. However, before deputies could make contact with her, the driver reportedly produced a firearm and attempted to take their own life. The woman survived the attempt, leading deputies and emergency crews to begin life saving procedures. She was later taken to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach in critical condition. This is an active ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances
