Barricaded person triggers police standoff in west El Paso

EL PASO, Texas A person barricaded inside a west El Paso home triggered a standoff with El Paso police on Wednesday night.
The incident unfolded in the 5500 block of Carousel Drive near Cabaret Drive; the neighborhood sits between S. Mesa Hills Drive and N. Mesa Street.
Exactly what triggered the standoff wasn t immediately known.
Patrol units were on scene trying to convince the barricaded individual to surrender, but the police SWAT team had yet to be called to the location.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested late Tuesday by Murrysville police, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after, police say, she cut a man with a knife during an argument, according to court records.
Samantha Dawn Nichols of Mt. Pleasant was arrested after the 11 p.m. incident at the man’s residence in Murrysville on Carousel Drive, according to court documents.
The 49-year-old man was transported by Murrysville Medic One ambulance to AHN Forbes Hospital in Monroeville for treatment of a laceration on his right forearm and a puncture wound to his left hand, according to police Officer Matthew Mastorovich.

SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a woman who disappeared on San Antonio’s Southwest Side.
According to the sheriff’s office, Tracy Lynn Huffmaster, 52, was last seen leaving a residence at 12 p.m. on Dec. 12 in the 100 block of Carousel Drive, in the Vally Hi area.
