Six more will open progressively over the next month, including at Armidale, Taree, Moree and Muswellbrook. Health Minister Brad Hazzard said the quicker the vaccine rollout is, the safer the state will be. “We’re making it easier for people right across NSW to access COVID vaccines as quickly as possible,” Mr Hazzard said. Around 23,500 people have been invited to book in for their jab at a NSW Health clinic. 12,000 are already booked in. “I want to thank the more than 120,000 people aged 40 to 49 who have already registered their interest to receive the Pfizer jab. We are working hard to ensure you receive the vaccine as soon as possible,” Premier Gladys Berejiklian said.

NBN News | WANTED MAN ARRESTED FOLLOWING POLICE PURSUIT IN GRAFTON

A driver who collided with a pedestrian and was chased by police before crashing his car in Grafton yesterday, was wanted on outstanding warrants. Officers from Coffs/Clarence Police District responded to reports a 35-year-old man had been hit by a car on Duke Street about 3:30pm. Police were told the man had been involved in a fight with a 38-year-old man, who then got into a Holden Colorado and allegedly drove at the younger man, hitting him. When officers arrived in the street, he fled in the Colorado, and police went after him. The driver turned onto Prince Street and approached Dobie Street at speed, where the vehicle hit a roundabout, then mounted the kerb before rolling and crashing into a tree.
