COLUMBUS, Ind. – IUPUC’s Division of Health Sciences Advisory Council hosted its annual meeting virtually via zoom last Wednesday.
The event brings together community partners to acknowledge outstanding performances of IUPUC Nursing Student scholarship recipients as well as clinical site preceptor of the year recipients.
The Preceptor of the Year Award recognizes the integral part preceptors play in nursing education at IUPUC, and is given annually to volunteer instructors from each of the clinical partner hospitals in a six-county area who work with IUPUC students.

COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office (BCSO) responded to the 3600 block of North County Road 250W, on Thursday at 7 a.m., in reference to a two-vehicle accident involving a school bus with eight juveniles on board.
Upon arrival, deputies observed the bus and another vehicle, both with minor damage. There were no injuries. However, as a precautionary measure, Columbus Regional Health EMS checked all eight students.
BCSO says the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
“I am certainly happy that no one, especially none of the children, was injured in this accident,” said Bartholomew County Sheriff Matt Myers.
