L’hélicoptère à bord duquel voyageait le président colombien Ivan Duque a été la cible de tirs vendredi, près de la frontière vénézuélienne, a annoncé le chef de l’État qui a dénoncé « un lâche attentat ». L’attaque s’est produite dans le département Norte de Santander, une région du nord-est de la Colombie ravagée par la violence entre groupes armés et par le trafic de drogue. « C’est un lâche attentat, on voit des impacts de balle sur l’aéronef présidentiel », a affirmé Ivan Duque dans un communiqué officiel, ajoutant que son service de sécurité et la solidité de l’hélicoptère avaient réussi à empêcher que « quelque chose de mortel » ne se passe.

It is a cowardly attack, where you can see bullet holes in the presidential aircraft, Duque said in video remarks. In addition to Duque, the helicopter was carrying Defense Minister Diego Molano and Interior Minister Daniel Palacios. Silvano Serrano, the governor of the Norte de Santander province neighboring Venezuela, was also onboard the aircraft. No one was hurt by the attack. Duque said the helicopter s equipment prevented something lethal from happening.
