We’re back! After a mostly successful 2020 and a quiet but productive offseason and what seems to be the longest offseason in history we’re ready for a new season. The Rapids have undeniably approached the upcoming season with a stronger foundation and a readiness to fight. We start the season with a road trip to Dallas followed by the home opener against newcomers Austin FC.

I donât use the term âshout outâ often â or at all, come to think of it â but this column seems like as good a time as any to try new things. So allow me to set the stage.
While many people felt someone hit the pause button on their lives in 2020, big things kept happening in this city. I work downtown but live in the northern reaches of the county. My wife and son hadnât seen downtown in quite some time, so we decided to take a trip to the cityâs core last Sunday and have a meander. All I can say is, if this is what we can accomplish in less-than-ideal circumstances, just wait until the city is firing on all cylinders. And this renaissance didnât happen on its own; there are some who most definitely deserve a shout out.

New signing George Lebese is edging closer to making his debut after impressing the technical team at Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
Lebese has joined TTM on a short-term deal after terminating his contract with USL championship side Colorado Springs Switchbacks due to Covid-19 travel restrictions in the United States.
The 32-year-old midfielder last played in South Africa for Mamelodi Sundowns, where he was also loaned to SuperSport United, before moving to America in 2019.
TTM co-coach Mpho Maleka says Lebese is working hard at training and could officially appear in the team s colours very soon. He is working very hard and doing extra training. We are still assessing him but I am sure in a week s time he will be ready to play, Maleka tells

Merry Monday morning, Mane Landers! We were able to enjoy some soccer over the weekend due to a pair of draws from the Orlando Pride and the United States Women’s National Team. Orlando Pride Players Shine in Their Debuts
The youngsters have already started contributing in Orlando, with the Pride’s two goals against Racing Louisville FC coming from Taylor Kornieck and Abi Kim. Kornieck impressed with her size and used it to perfection on her goal, scoring with a header. Kim had a rocket of a shot that gave Orlando a temporary lead.
