A section of Airport Road closing until June

COLORADO SPRINGS â Starting on Thursday, Airport Road will be closed between Lakewood Circle, and Audubon Drive, which is just west of Academy.
Traffic will be detoured to Fountain Boulevard and Pikes Peak Avenue.
The closure is expected to last until mid-June.
The closure is due to a construction project to work on the sewer system.
On Wednesday, the day before the closure, eastbound Airport Road will be reduced to one lane at Lakewood Circle and the intersection, Lakewood Circle will be fully closed for construction crews. Crews are doing this to remove a raised median island, the closure will last from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Peak Vista Community Health patient information stolen

COLORADO SPRINGS â On Thursday Peak Vista Community Health Centers announced that confidential information may have been stolen during a burglary.
The burglary took place on March 7th at one of Peak Vista s health facilities.
Right now an investigation is ongoing into the burglary.
On March 31st, an investigation determined that two of the stolen computers contained protected health information.
The information on the two computers include:
Names
Medication lists
The stolen devices do not contain information regarding Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, driverâs license numbers, or any other sensitive identifiers according to Peak Vista.
New dialing procedure for people with 719 or 970 area code

COLORADO SPRINGS â Starting Saturday, April 24 Colorado customers with numbers in the 719 and 970 area codes should start dialing 10-digits for all local calls.
This is due to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) making 988 the dialing code to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline, which starts in July of 2022.
In order for 988 to work, customers in many area codes around the country with seven-digit local dialing must be transitioned to 10-digit local dialing, this includes the 719 and 970 area codes in Colorado.
As people get used to the new habit there will be what is known as a permissive dialing period, so if customers forget to dial all 10 digits, the call will still be completed.
