Concerts like Foreigner this November at the Brandon Amphitheater will be returning to Mississippi. The 8,400 seat venue provides a nice economic impact for the city in Rankin County.
Fans will soon enjoy concerts once again at the Brandon Ampitheater. Shut down by the COVID pandemic for a year, the entertainment business is starting to bounce back in Mississippi and across the USA.
Staffers with Central Mississippiâs 8,400-seat venue are advertising five shows through Memorial Day (for up to 2,500 fans) at the outdoors facility in Rankin County. Tickets for the November 14 show featuring Foreigner are on sale. The American-British rock band produced a string of mega-hits like âCold As Iceââ and âI Want to Know What Love Is.ââ Mayor Butch Lee would love to see fans show up in big numbers that Sunday evening in his hometown.

Good morning, Bay Area. It’s Thursday, Mar. 4, and California is changing the way it allocates vaccines, aiming to address inequities. Here’s what you need to know to start your day.
Dozens of businesses under threat
San Francisco’s Japantown has persisted, even as others throughout the United States faded away. Today, Nihonmachi is the country’s oldest and largest Japantown, one of three remaining, but it covers only about six blocks, anchored by the Japan Center malls. Many worry the neighborhood is in danger of disappearing.
