US expat shot dead in Morvant A 38-year-year-old US national was shot dead in Morvant on Sunday night. Police said Hassan Sanchez, was in the backyard of his home at Granado Street, Sawmill Avenue, at around 10.45 pm when he was shot several times. Sanchez s relatives heard the gunshots and found him bleeding on the ground. Police went to the scene with a district medical officer, who declared Sanchez dead. They said Sanchez had dual citizenship and had been a resident of the US since 2016. Investigators from the Homicide Bureau of Investigations Region II are continuing enquiries.

They said residents reported finding a body at Race Course Road at around 9.14 am. Members of the Northern Division Emergency Response Patrol found the body in a grassy area near a car park. Joseph, 32, was found dead in bushes at Macaulay Road at around 7.45 am with a gunshot wound to his left ear. Police said Joseph, who was originally from Gasparillo, was living in Tabaquite at the time. Investigators said Joseph was last seen by relatives on Saturday evening when he got a call from a man to come out to work. Police said up to press time they had no motive for the killing and were continuing investigations.
