Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan and KKR’s joint bid for Spark Infrastructure valued the group at 1.37-times its regulatory asset base or 12.1-times earnings, according to Macquarie equities research analysts.
Spark revealed on Thursday morning that the Ontario/KKR consortium had two nibbles at the company, both via indicative and non-binding proposals.

The first was at $2.70 a security inclusive of any distributions paid by Spark, while the next was at $2.80 on the same terms.
Both were rejected as undervaluing the company. Spark said it would provide “limited information” to the bidders, if they were to sign a confidentiality agreement.
