Accordingly, the total number of deaths due to Covid-19 infection in Sri Lanka is 525. The deceased is a Akkareipattu . She was diagnosed as infected with Covid-19 virus and transferred from Base Hospital Akkareipattu to Base Hospital Mulleriyawa. From there she was transferred to IDH Hospital where she died on 11.03.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as shock due to blood poisoning, respiratory tract infection, Covid pneumonia and acute kidney infection.

Share: COLOMBO (News 1st): The Director-General of Health Services confirmed that FIVE (05) COVID-19 deaths were reported in the country on Thursday (Mar. 11), raising Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll to 520. The details of the deceased are as follows: 01. A 56-year-old female from Nawalapitiya. She was diagnosed as infected with the COVID-19 virus while receiving treatment at Nawalapitiya District Hospital and transferred to Theldeniya Base Hospital, and then again to Nawalapitiya District Hospital, where she died on 08.03.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as pneumonia and Covid infection. 02. A 63-year-old female from Angulana. She was diagnosed as infected with the COVID-19 virus while receiving treatment at Colombo General Hospital and transferred to Mulleriyawa Base Hospital, where she died on 09.03.2021. The cause of death is mentioned as blood poisoning shock, heart disease, and Covid infection.

A 57-year-old male from Colombo 09. He died on 08.03.2021 on admission to Colombo General Hospital. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia and acute diabetes. 03. A 23-year-old male from Alawathugoda. He died on 08.03.2021 while receiving treatment at Kandy General Hospital. The cause of death is mentioned as Covid pneumonia and acute blood poisoning.
