Speaking to reporters, Samanta said that the governor had given his approval to the decision, adding that the procedures for the evaluation of the answer sheet as well as the declaration of the result were also discussed during the meeting. He said that Gondwana University in Gadchiroli, Vidarbha managed to conduct the online examination in front of other universities, despite the belief that it would be a “geographical challenge”.

Last year several university exams were cancelled except for the final year students due to the COVID-19 pandemic and followed lockdown. Even this year the exam timetable got disturbed due to a sudden spike in COVID-19 cases. Since February Uday Samant has been saying that the university exams will be conducted online this year as well. Speaking to reporters, Samant said the governor had given his approval to the decision, adding that the procedures to assess the answer sheet, as well as a declaration of results, were also discussed during the meeting.
