Evacuees in shelters and private homes, Police, the National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO), the hospital, and relief organisations in St. Vincent are just some of the groups to have benefitted from a diverse set of goods and products from the Goddard Enterprises Ltd (GEL) family of companies following the eruption of the La Soufriere volcano there.
The team at Coreas Hazell – a subsidiary of GEL in St Vincent, led by CEO Joel Providence coordinated the massive relief effort with many of the other subsidiaries and the head office in Barbados, as they responded to the immediate needs of those affected
Dukharan backs Central Bank’s tech, green energy thrust call

Noted economist Marla Dukharan has thrown her full support behind calls by the Central Bank of Barbados for a ramping up of measures to reduce the island’s economic vulnerabilities and for both Government and the private sector to emphasise technology and green energy.
Her comments follow Governor of the Central Bank of Barbados Cleviston Haynes’ review of the Barbadian economy in 2020.
Haynes said renewable energy had the potential to contribute to the island’s long-term competitiveness and net foreign exchange earnings, thereby helping to reduce its economic vulnerabilities.
Twelve (12) families had a brighter Christmas because a group of caring staff members at Goddard Enterprises Ltd (GEL) took action this past holiday season.
