FWPD investigating death at extended-stay hotel

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) - Fort Wayne Police and the Allen County Coroner s Office are working to find out how a woman ended up dead in her hotel room Monday morning. Around 8:45 a.m., police responded to the Suburban Inn on Coliseum Boulevard. Once there, police found a woman dead inside the room. At this point, it wasn t clear how she died. The Allen County Coroner s Office will release the woman s identity and a cause of death following an autopsy. Authorities said they are in the early stages of the investigation and ask anyone with information to call the Fort Wayne Police Detective Bureau at 427-1201, Crime Stoppers at 436-7867, or use the P3 tips app.
