Schaumburg man drowns at Fort Sheridan Beach
Authorities have identified the 35-year-old man who drowned Sunday afternoon at Fort Sheridan Beach.
Schaumburg resident Jianyun Shen was pulled from the water and taken to Highland Park Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Lake Forest police and firefighters responded to the scene alongside the Lake County Forest Preserve District police around 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
The forest preserve police are investigating the case.
